Problem

We wanted to scale distribution of our content on Instagram and TikTok but faced two key challenges:

  1. Our branded channel had limited organic reach.

  2. Users were more likely to engage with content that felt native and less like marketing.

Solution

Instead of relying only on our branded profile, we built a distributed network of unbranded accounts to create multiple touchpoints for our audience. By blending our content with trending content from other creators, we made our posts appear more authentic, avoiding the “brand fatigue” that users often develop when they see repetitive branded posts.

Implementation

  • Created 5 dummy accounts on Instagram and TikTok, each styled to look like regular niche content pages.

  • Scraped and reposted existing viral content from other creators in our niche to build initial engagement and credibility.

  • Seeded our own videos in between the curated content so they naturally blended into the feed without looking suspicious or overly promotional.

  • Rotated posting schedules across accounts to ensure steady visibility and avoid patterns that algorithms or users might detect.

  • Cross-promotion effect: Since users often saw our videos across different accounts, it created an amplified perception of popularity and credibility.

Results

  • Our videos reached significantly higher views compared to posting from just the main brand account.

  • Users who encountered our content across multiple unbranded pages perceived it as trending/organic, leading to higher trust and engagement.

  • The strategy helped us multiply distribution at zero ad spend, while giving us multiple independent growth channels to experiment with.
